As the highly anticipated World Boxing Super Series semi finals approached us here in Manchester between George Groves & Chris Eubank Jr, it was with great pleasure that we welcomed Chris Eubank Jr & Snr down to the VIP gym.
On the Monday of fight week these boxing superstars came to do some promotional work with 4 Manchester United players in Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Chris Smalling & Angel Gomes.
On the Monday of fight week these boxing superstars came to do some promotional work with 4 Manchester United players in Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Chris Smalling & Angel Gomes.
The players watched Eubank Jr do a few drills on the pads, asked questions around technique and comparisons between pre-fight / game preparations. Eubank was showcasing his skills and his wide variety of shots from the basic jab to his signature uppercut.
It was then time for the Manchester United players to swap the boots for the gloves as Eubank Jr took them over to the heavy bag to show the difference in the jab, and why the jab is one of the most valuable tools in the game.
It was a great atmosphere in the gym and it was fantastic to see the Manchester United players using our Macto Training Gloves. They highlighted the comfort and protection these gloves provide, which is something we have always focused on providing for our customers.
The Eubanks even enjoyed using the Curved Hook & Jab Pads that much they bought a pair for the open work out the day after.
